The large enhancements in this release are the final completion of the much delayed encryption system for TCP sessions and the enhancement of the callback system to enable multiple callback threads to be running simultaneously, allowing more complex systems to be built if desired. TRIXER creates catalogs of transparent file indexes. A transparent file index is an exact mirror of a directory, except that each of its file is void, thus "taking no space", while apparently having the same size of its indexed counterpart so as to describe it fully. This is accomplished by combining sparse files support with fusecompress on-the-fly compression technology. This is useful for many purposes, e.g. creating a catalog of your CD/DVD-ROM library to browse its contents without having to physically access it. The advantage of this software is that a TRIXER catalog is a plain mountable ext2 filesystem, allowing enhanced interoperability with the huge lot of available software to handle the catalog in a number of ways. This release has been upgraded to FuseCompress 2.2, thus eliminating a major bug regarding corrupted catalogs, which after some testing seems gone. It adds handling of multiple mountings via a rough database. It fixes a minor bug preventing the creation of a catalog inside the index node itself.

VNCTracker keeps a list of hosts on various Internet accounts. Rather than email or phone each user whenever you need a current IP address for connecting with VNC, you visit the Web page generated by VNCTracker that shows the updated IP address for that host. It will then build .vnc files to easily start VNC sessions served via HTTP. It supports 'Request Reverse VNC Session' to help with proxies and satellite connections. Many bug fixes. 'Request VNC' has been added to work with satellite and other one-way connections. This requires the remote PC to check your vnctracker server for a hostname.request file containing the IP to connect to. That initiates the reverse connection. SVNKit is a pure Java Subversion (SVN) client library. This means that users of the library (i.e. Java applications) do not have to include svn native binaries or javahl bindings to work with subversion repositories. This release fixes an annoying bug introduced in 1.0-rc30 causing the Odyce symbol resolver to fail on Win32. Extensions kits (tcllib, tklib, and bwidgets) have been restored in the installer. On Mac OS X, a bad issue causing the console to be shown even if running a wrapped application in non-interactive mode has been fixed. The Tcl code compacter in the wrap applet has been enabled and improved, together with several minor bugfixes and extensions updates (e.g. SQLite 3.6.6.2).

fsarchiver is a system tool that allows you to save the contents of a filesystem to a compressed archive file. The filesystem can be restored on a partition that has a different size, and it can be restored on a different filesystem. Unlike tar/dar, fsarchiver also creates the filesystem when it extracts the data to partitions. Everything is checksummed in the archive in order to protect the data. If the archive is corrupt, you just lose the current file, not the whole archive.

Detect Library can be used in any program that needs to perform hardware detection. Its API (in C) is very easy to learn and use. SiSU (Structured information, Serialized Units) is a lightweight markup based, text structuring and publishing framework (that features granular search). With minimal markup of a plaintext file, it produces: plain-text, HTML, XHTML, XML, ODF, LaTeX, PDF, and populates an SQL database at an object/paragraph level for granular searches. Prepare documents using your text editor of choice, then use SiSU to generate the desired output formats. SiSU is controlled from the command line.

A command line tool for controlling profiled applications was implemented. New memory inspection "non-serializable objects referenced from serializable objects" was added. It's possible to export views to zipped HTML. Native thread IDs are shown in the profiler UI. "Live" view with object allocations was implemented. A "Quick info" (Ctrl+Q) panel is available as a slave view. Snapshot comparison views have an option to see only positive or only negative differences.

UMLGraph facilitates the declarative specification and drawing of UML class and sequence diagrams. One can specify a class design using the Java syntax complemented by Javadoc tags. Running the UmlGraph doclet on the specification generates a Graphviz diagram specification that can be automatically processed to create Postscript, GIF, SVG, JPEG, fig, or Framemaker drawings.
